Frequently asked questions
How long does conveyancing usually take?
Every move is different, but on average it takes 8 to 12 weeks from having your offer accepted, or accepting an offer. For remortgaging, it can take less time.
Is everything done online?
Yes – we provide online conveyancing. But you will always have a real person to speak with and direct access to your conveyancer who will guide you through each step of the process, ensuring you’re never left in the dark.
Are there any extra costs I should know about?
Alongside our fees, there are some third-party costs, which are called disbursements. These can include things like Land Registry fees, stamp duty (a tax you might need to pay) and search fees for checking important things about the property. We’ll always talk you through these clearly and keep you in the loop if anything changes.
Do I need to pay everything upfront?
No. We’ll explain what’s due and when, and most costs are paid in stages. There’s no surprises – just clear, honest advice.
